密歇根州立大学丹佛分校 Art 数字化制造实验室, or DigiFabLab, is for the creative research of students currently enrolled in Art Department courses at 密歇根州立大学丹佛. To be granted access to the lab you should first have the permission, training and authorization 从你的教练那里. Timeslots can be reserved on our Microsoft Bookings 日历, and make sure to bring your 密歇根州立大学丹佛 ID card. If you have any questions for the lab, reach out by email. 

For instructors who would like their students to use the DIGIFABLAB during their course hours, book the lab through Bookings and email the studio manager to meet you for your first session with the students to go over the space’s rules. The lab should not be used unsupervised. The faculty can be supervisor if there are no lab monitors present. 

As faculty, it’s our responsibility to train students on equipment before they use it. There are printed instruction manuals for each piece of equipment for your convenience. Our monitors are there to help you and your students during open lab hours. Reach out to the lab manager if you would like face-to-face training. 

Reservations can be booked immediately, are made in intervals of 30 minutes or 1 hour depending on the equipment booking, and can’t be made more than 10 days in advance. The DIGIFABLAB Bookings 日历 has two services: the first service is for students to make appointments during monitored times (and specific equipment), the second service is solely for faculty to make appointments during all other non-monitored times. 

对于某些设备, 比如激光切割机, the student needs to be present throughout the whole process. 然而, if a 3D print is initiated and finishes when the student isn’t present (sometimes a 3D print can take tens-of-hours), then the monitors are instructed to carefully remove prints and students can pick them up the next open lab hours.
